This morning the phone rang at 6:18 a.m., I normally avoid the phone this early. However, I knew Cameron was going to be the other end. He was able to call me before he left the airport. He had already talked to his dad while he was at work. It was so good to hear his voice. He is doing well and excited to explore Virginia. I didn't get to talk to him very long as his plane was getting ready to board and he wanted to call Grandpa Rod and Grandma Marilyn before he left. When he arrived in Georgia he was able to make one more phone call to Grandpa Fred and Grandma Joyce. We were all happy to hear from him and to know in the sound of his voice he was happy.
At 5:03 p.m. I received one more phone call from an Elder Cook who was calling to let me know that my son had arrived safely and was in good hands. He said Cameron looked very sharp but was little tired from traveling. He told me to look forward to emails on Mondays, as that is their mission P-day. I thanked him for easing my mind in knowing he had gotten to his destination.
