Getting ready to go to the Temple

Cameron received his Recommend just shortly before the Twin Falls Temple closed for cleaning. We opted to wait out the two weeks to make things easier for those attending. So, I got up bright and early on the 28th of June to schedule a time for Wednesday, June 29th. I wanted to 7:00 p.m. session, when I talked to the gentleman on the phone he was very helpful and accomodating. He scheduled us for the 7:00 session Wednesday night. I made phone calls to let people know when we were going. I then went to a meeting at White Pine, off to work at Burley Glass, down to the Distribution Center with Cameron to get his clothes.

When I returned home to get ready for our 4-H meeting Kambrie informed me that someone from the temple had called and I needed to call them back. Ok, so why didn't you call me on my cell as soon as they called the house??????

So, I called the temple back, no one knew who called me or why. After several minutes and lots of confusion, Cameron calls me and says "Mom, did you know tomorrow night at 7:00 is the Spanish only session. UGH!!! No, I did not know that, thanks to Lisa Taylor I now knew why they had called. I called the temple back and told them I knew why they had called me and we needed to reschedule. So, we rescheduled for Thursday, night at 7:00. The joy of calling everyone back, I guess it was better than sitting through a session in a foreign language. LOL!

The Call

Cameron's mission call arrived at the house on Thursday, April 21, 2011. However, being the type of kid he is we waited until Sunday, April 24th to open it up. There were many friends and family that gathered together for the announcement. Everybody filled out a piece of paper taking a guess as to where he might go. It was fun to see what everyone guessed. I was relieved and excited when he read he was going to Richmond, Virginia. However, I was crushed to learn he would leave the day before our family vacation. I was really hoping to have one last vacation with him before he left. I guess I will just have to look forward to a vacation when he returns. I am sure he will love Virginia and hope he takes the opportunity to see some of the many historical sites there.
